*Wisdom – Days Of Adversity*

*Wisdom – Days Of Adversity*
(Friendship, Strength & Stability From Discernment)
=======================

♧ *Times & Seasons Of Life*
Ecl 3: 1-11
For everything there is *a season, and a time* for every matter under heaven:

♢ a time to be born, and a time to die;
♢ a time to plant, and a *time to pluck up* what is planted;

♢ a time to break down, and a time to build up;
♢ a time to weep, and a time to laugh; …
♢ a *time to cast away stones,* and a time to gather stones together;
♢ a time to embrace, and a *time to refrain* from embracing;
♢ a time to seek, and a *time to lose;*
♢ a time to keep, and a *time to cast away*;
♢ a *time to tear,* and a time to sew;
♢ a *time to keep silence*, and a time to speak;
….
♢ a time for war, and a time for peace.

*The God-Given Task*
What gain has the worker from his toil? I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with.

*He has made everything beautiful in its time*.

Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

*The Day Of Adversity* Will Come Too, whether invited or not. Whether welcomed or not.

Ecl 7: 14
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and *in the day of adversity consider*:
*God has made* the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.

Prov 25: 19, 20
*Confidence in an unfaithful man* in *time of trouble (adversity)* is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather,
and as vinegar upon nitre,
so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.

*Trusting in a treacherous (crafty or uncommitted) man* in *time of trouble* is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips.

Whoever sings songs to a heavy heart is like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, and like vinegar on soda.

♤ *By Contrast,*

Prov 19:5-9
*Wealth* brings *many new friends*, but a poor man is deserted by his friend.

A *false witness* will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.

Many seek the favor of a generous man, and *everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts.*

All a poor man’s brothers hate him; how much more do *his friends go far from him!*
He pursues them with words, but does not have them.
Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; *he who keeps understanding will discover good*.

A *false witness will not go unpunished,* and he who breathes out lies will perish.

♡ *So How Can A Man Survive?*

Prov 10: 12
If you faint in *the day of adversity*, your *strength is small*

If you start fainting and failing in the day of adversity – your *’strength’* is small!

¤ What Exactly Is *’Strength’*?

*STRENGTH for Adversity*
is who is standing and marching with you as =>

*’FAITHFUL’ FRIEND* *+*
*’TRUE’ BROTHER* = *STRENGTH IN TROUBLE*

*Understand The Bible & Learn Wisdom!*
You do not need just “a friend” who had been for long and helped in past, etc. Wise man Ahitophel was a friend to King David! He fulfilled all conditions of a ‘friend’… so was Brutus to Julius Ceaser!

What you need is a COMBO =>

Prov 17: 17
*A FRIEND loves at all times*,
and *a BROTHER is born for adversity* .

You need The Jew!
THE JEWISH CARPENTER, THE REJECTED ONE, is the only COMBO readily available!

He, Christ Jesus, is no longer here physically on this planet to march with you and i today…but He has *sons and daughters* that He has planted ETERNITY in their individual hearts. They see beyond today and the *facts*.
They sense and even know *the truth*.
Facts are not neccesarily Truths!

Mere friends take off based on FACTS. The Jewish Carpenter stays forever based on TRUTH. He is Friend + Brother!

When you cry…they will be drawn to you at His command & promptings.

Not just friend, but *friend + brother*. You will carry same family DNA.

Until such men show up for you and i, friend, you are on your own…Sing “eloi…eloi lama sabakatani”

*Man, This Is Adversity!*
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, *“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?”* which means, *“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”*
And some of the bystanders hearing it said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah.”

[When men even mock your prayers.]

*The Place Of Safety*
Isaiah 33: 21, 22

But there the Lord in majesty will be for us *a place of broad rivers and streams*, where no galley with oars can go, nor majestic ship can pass.

For the Lord is our *judge;* the Lord is our *lawgiver*; the Lord is our *king;* He will save us.

Psalm 46: 1-6
God is our
♢ *refuge and strength,*
♢ *a very present help in trouble*.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed,
and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

*There is A RIVER, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God,*the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

*God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:God shall help her, and that right early.*

*Conclusion Of The Matter*

A Song of Ascents – Of David.
*Psalm 131 (my confession)*

O LORD, *my heart is not lifted up*; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
 But *I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.*
O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.

Amen

My goal is God.
