What do people have to say about friendship?

Hello,

Someone highly respected told me recently during an eyeball-to-eyeball discussion
“… my brother, your handicap, your paralysis, is your natural-bent to be thoroughly loyal, faithful and trusting to friends and authority figures in your life…”.

Another younger friend told me, the same week, in a no-holds-barred discussion
“…your problem is you put too much (of yourself) into relationships with people you love. Hence, when they mess you up, it always leave BIG GASHes all the time,…I don’t!”

See quotes below on friendship. These quoted men & women, largely ‘unchurched’ people, may not be ‘bible-quoting’ but they, individually, seem to strike some truth chords. Isn’t it?
