The Building Of Jerusalem (Further Insight on Psalm 122) plus wisdom words.
It is a privilege to come minister to you again this morning.
It is an opportunity that I do not really have much desire for again.
Last sunday, the Pastor took us through the book of Psalm 122 and we examined Jerusalem, what it stands for and God’s expectation from The Church.
Today, I desire that we look further into certain verses in that chapter.
The Building Formula Of Jerusalem.
————————————————-
Before going ahead, I want to share a few snippets of wisdom words that I found written inside my old bible which I picked up yesterday, after a long time.
1. Circumstances happen but Attitudes are chosen decisions. (Ps Oladele 02/02/2002)
2. It is unreasonable to judge the wisdom of God by the circumstances that surround us (Neal
Frisby 1998)
3. ‘Truth’ is not the same thing as ‘Fact’. In reality, facts are the pillars that uphold truth to
Manifestation. (Ps Chris 1999)
4. All Truth(s) are parallel! If there is a collision, then one of the colliding ideas is not a truth.
(Toks 1998/99)
5. If Jesus is “son of David” more than being “son of Mary”, then I am “son of God” more than
Oshokoya. My genealogy has changed and I cannot fail. (Toks 1998)
6. I am full because Christ dwells in me. What will bring my ‘overflowing’ (to manifest and be
recorded in glory) is what I do with my present fullness. (Ps Bakare 05/11/2004)
7. Pillars to fulfill Divine Purpose in Life
(1) Divine Presence (The Caller – God)
(2) Divine Purpose (The Assignment)
(3) Divine Chosen Vessel
(4) Divinely Chosen Supportive Vessels [Aaron/Hur/Joshua] Acts 16: 9 & 10
(5) Divine Endowments (a) spiritual endowments
(b) financial resources
(Ps Bakare via Ps Wunmi 1999)
8. How many seeds are in a mango fruit? How many mango fruits are in a seed of mango?
All I need is just ONE or TWO “divinely chosen supportive vessels” and not a crowd.
I am not a politician. I just get my assignment done. (Ps Bakare 2002)
9. Patience is needed for each stage of this journey.
It took seven (7) years after Prophet Samuel anointed David king in his father’s house
before the eleven (11) tribes recognized him as king.
Impatience:
Moses perceived his calling and purpose in life. He rushed to kill an Egyptian, but how
many Egyptians will he kill before he himself is killed? (Ps Bee)
By that he made his people go through another 40years of suffering. (Toks)
David rushed to go and kill Nabal! May God give you your own Abigail and you will
not truncate your destiny. (Toks)

Deception, Darkness and Discernment:
What is PHOTIZO?
2Cor 4: 3-6
Eph 1: 18
Acts 26: 18
Ps18: 2; Job 29: 3; Ps 119: 105, 130; Prov 4:18.
Darkness:
Light neutralizes Darkness? Or puts darkness into flight?
Darkness is inability to accurately perceive, make judgements and decisions.
Darkness does not always mean total blindness or total lack of illumination.
Insufficient PHOTONS of light energy can induce stumbling, cause error in construction, assembling, re-engineering, and inaccurate projections.
These errors can always result in loss of life, time and valuable resources.
Genesis 1: 2, 4, 5
Genesis 15: 12 “horror of great darkness”
1 Kings 8: 12; 2Chron 6: 1 ” The Lord said He dwells in thick darkness”
2Sam 22: 12
Darkness can be absolute and relative.
Prov 2: 13; 4: 19; 20: 20
Wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness Eccl 2: 13, 14
Isaiah 9: 2
John 1: 5
Acts 26: 18
Deception:
Matthew 24: 3 – 4
Sign is “let know man deceive you”
Deception is the obscuring of adequate illumination photons which now result in activation of error in judgement.
Antidote is Discernment:
Three (3) examples:
1. John 4: 30 – 38 KJV & NLT
2. Matthew 16: 1 – 4 KJV & AMP
3. Isaiah 6: 1 – 10 NLT
THE BUILDING OF JERUSALEM
Psalm 122 NKJV
Points to re-examine:
1. OUR FEET standing within your gates.
2. Jerusalem IS BUILT
3. As a city COMPACT TOGETHER
4. Where the TRIBES OF THE LORD GO UP
Exegesis.
A. What do you mean by OUR FEET?
How many are OUR?
Hebrews 12: 18 – 24
The Body Metaphor
1Cor 12: 12 – 28
Eph 4: 2 – 16
B. Jerusalem is built.
The building is in progress but how?
Psalm 147: 2 – 7; 10 – 14
C. A City Compact Together
What is the technology?
1. discernment of season
2. trust in God’s judgement
[Deut 32:35; Rom 12:19; Heb 10:30; 1Sam 2:3]
3. humility and meekness
4. readiness to forgive
5. preferring one another
[Rom 12: 10, 16; John 4: 1-3; Acts 15: 36- 41/Col 4:10/2Tim 4:11/Phile 24]
To build compactly:
Understand God, discern not just look.
Note: 1. There TRIBES and they came from the mess of a patriarch
2. Some TRIBES cannot work beside each other for result until
Jacob becomes Israel, and Israel becomes Jeshrun of God
Reference to Nehemiah 3 KJV & MSG
D. The Tribes Go Up
Eph 4: ascension gifts ministries
Psalm 24: who shall go up?
Prayer: Let us all go up today in prayer!
